July's Full Moon Sunday + Road Tripping

This month's full moon theme was Nostalgia. My take on this download is that it was about letting go of the past. We can only operate out of the now. The new body comes in with our presence, as our old bodies disintegrate and let go. This vital and continual letting go a big part of the human journey.

I spent the last month on the road in my Sprinter Van, jetting across the West. I started my trip in Yosemite and ended it in Jackson Hole, WY. My big personal takeaway was that I am a rolling stone. Having spent the better part of the last four years on the road, the road itself became my home. I only recently settled in Bend, Oregon. During this trip, I felt nostalgic for my nomadic life. With all that driving, the long stretches of road to myself, the flow of beautiful places and people, and the quiet nights.

I am back home, in Bend, and another kind of heaven right now, listening to my neighbor playing his jazz saxophone. My takeaway is that as we let go, we gain. By staying in one place for too long - we stagnate. My work pulls me to keep moving in more ways than one. We all have that push n pull in our lives. For better or worse, we are all rolling stones and homebodies. I hope we all can make better strangers of this internal paradox.
